My life story has been an eventful one from joining the defence force at the ripe age of 17 and being shipped away literally to a 7 month deployment in the North Arabian Gulf to my 8 years protecting Australia’s borders to the North.

Having dealt with people from all walks of life it has helped me to remain grounded and has shown me the importance of family and friends. Encounters during my journey have developed my life’s main focus.

My career goals are to continue to challenge myself and grow professionally in various aspects of my career as to not limit the paths available to me. Being somewhat a late starter in the corporate world I feel my work ethic and desire to succeed will aid me in my sought after quick progression up the ladder of success.

For seven out of my 12 years in the Royal Australian Navy I was responsible for managing and supervising teams of various sizes from 4 men to 150 at any one time.

In all appointments, I have been required to act as both leader and team member. These experiences have deepened my awareness of group dynamics and methods of dealing with conflict. The ability to work both as a member of a team and autonomously is essential in an organisation with the many semi-independent and inter-dependent units that the Defence Force has. I have worked in teams of varying size and have always enjoyed a good rapport with them, both at work and socially.
