Michael's background is in sport science with a Hons degree from Brunel University in London. He has a diverse coaching background involved in swimming, basketball, football, weight training, tennis and running before going into triathlon full time. He has been coaching and racing triathlon in Australia for the last 30 years.He is an Aus Triathlon Performance Coach and the 2024 Australian Age Group Coach of the Year.He is the Head Coach of the YarraTri Club, which is the Victorian Performance Club of the Year and the Head Coach at the IST Club which gives coaching to intellectually impaired athletes.He offers coaching to beginners through to elite athletes.
