Here's my story:
* I always struggled to find my place, from adolescence to adulthood, not too much had changed.

* Not until I was introduced to the world of martial arts, specifically boxing. Boxing was never my first choice, and never something she had considered doing, but something pulled me towards it.

* I have worked in many industries over the years, but have stayed true to my two passions - Martial Arts Mental Health, which is the basis of my new business Thelo Active Therapy - Thelo, the Greek translation for, I want, I need. It combines and uses martial arts as an alternative to mainstream therapy.

*I help children, adolescents and adults recognise their potential through the delivery of Martial Arts therapy to gain self confidence.

Background-
* My training began in the Martial Arts (MA) at the age of 15 and has followed me through to adulthood, where I trained at the "International Combative Martial Arts Academy", from 1999 - 2011.

* It was one of the main reasons for my choice of employment. The other reason, and possibly the most important, I discovered it actually helped me with my mental health issues.

*As a teenager and well into adulthood I struggled with my anger and I didn't know why until I started seeking therapy, which with the Martial Arts, helped me realise it stemmed from anxiety.

*Although, it's not as bad these days, MA combined with therapy was the perfect recipe for combating mental health issues.
